FAITHFUL
Paul writes these words in 2 Timothy 2:13 …
“if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot disown Himself.”
As I read those words today, I was humbled and brought to tears. You see, I fail the Lord daily. I can be unstable and inconsistent in my Christian walk. I experience moments of doubt and unbelief. However, even when I fail, when I fall, when I am faithless, HE REMAINS FAITHFUL.
The Amplified Bible interprets it this way: “If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself.“
Why does He remain faithful even in our unfaithfulness? Because He cannot disown or deny Himself. Being FAITHFUL is His character. It is inherent in who He is, and He can’t change who He is. HE IS FAITHFUL!
In 1 John 1:9 we are told if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
As you praise Him this week as your FAITHFUL GOD, don’t forget the importance of confession. There is nothing more refreshing than being forgiven, washed in His blood, and cleansed from all our sin.
Sunday Supplication
Holy God, You are FAITHFUL even when I am not. Forgive me for the many times I have been faithless and given in to the sin of unbelief. Why do you love me so? Why don’t You give up on me? Thank You for being the Faithful and True God. Thank You for loving me even when I’m unlovable. Thank you for Your gift of forgiveness and grace. I praise you this week as the Faithful One. Speak to my heart through Your Word and teach me the true meaning of faithfulness. Amen! So Be It!

Deuteronomy 7:9
Tuesday Treasure
God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.
1 Corinthians 1:9 and Hebrews 3:6
Wednesday Wisdom
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
1 Corinthians 10:13
Thursday Truth
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
2 Thessalonians 3:3
Friday Fact
I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
