Deb Shirley (aka Faith Zao) is a Christian Author who has a desire to encourage, comfort, and urge Christians to live lives worthy of God. (1 Thessalonians 2:12)
As with most Christians, Deb has faced many adversities in life. She views these hardships as opportunities to minister to both believers and non-believers, especially in the areas of infertility, death, divorce, and remarriage. Her desire as a Christian writer is to utilize her spiritual growth experiences to offer hope and effect change in the lives of her readers.
One of her prized possessions is an 1899 copy of her favorite book In His Steps by Charles Sheldon. This book has influenced Christians for more than 100 years and her personally since the day she discovered it.
Her articles, devotions, and short stories have been published in both the non-fiction and fiction markets.
She and her husband love to travel. Over the years, they have cruised Alaska and both the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Her bucket list is to visit every state in the lower forty-eight. Of all the places they have seen thus far, Lake Tahoe is their favorite vacation spot. While Andy enjoys the slopes at Heavenly, Deb prefers curling up in front of a warm fire while reading or writing. After purchasing a motor coach, they drove to the Grand Canyon, her second favorite spot and definitely God’s country.
